Lala Hargopal would say to Shri Nathji in Punjabi: Tussi te dhurro dhurraaye aaye ho! You have come, ever-enlightened!
So impressed was he by the sheer force of Shri Nathji’s intellect and irrefutable logic, that he would often say:
“Nathji! If you had been a judge or a lawyer you would have amazed the world with your wisdom!”
He doesn’t need to be an advocate or a judge, said Shri Babaji Maharaj, advocates and judges follow him wherever he goes!
When someone came to Lala Hargopal Khanna and said: Sir, you were selected by Shri Nathji because of your impeccable honesty and character!
Lala Hargopal said: “No, I would not say that. Not even honesty a million fold greater than this could have made me worthy of him. It was only his grace and kindness- kripaa- that he accepted us!’
Gangabai Bhutt
Those were the days when Gangabai Bhutt was also in Lahore and was frequently seen in the divine darbaar of Shri Babaji Maharaj.
Shri Babaji would often say about her:
“Ye Nathji ko pragat karne aayi hai!”
Gangabai Bhutt met Savitri Devi and instantly grew to love and respect her. She was overjoyed when it came to be known that Shri Babaji Maharaj had chosen Savitri Devi to be the life partner of Shri Nathji.
She was convinced that Savitri Devi was the Goddess Laxmi, coming into her own as the spouse of Lord Vishnu upon earth, which was the form in which Gangabai Bhutt had seen Shri Nathji in the heavens.
It was the union of Sita Maharani with Lord Rama once again. The coming together of Rukmini and Lord Krishna.
All the avatars and gods had married in India. Theirs had not been the lives of ascetics or monks. They had lived in the world as worldly men while showing a divine light to the world.
