While Shri Nathji and Mateshwari were living in their house at Dehra Dun, Mateshwari was with child. The time for delivery was approaching. It was early 1940.
It was the wish of Shri Babaji Maharaj that the delivery of Shri Nathji’s first child take place at Lahore where he was residing at the time.
Prem Nath was in Calcutta with Mr. and Mrs. Khera and other devotees. Shri Nathji suddenly received a telegram from Calcutta. “Shri Prem Nathji seriously ill Reach Calcutta immediately”. Shri Nathji, who had always cared for his younger brother like one cares for a son, took the first train to Calcutta, along with Mateshwari.
Upon reaching Calcutta they found a group of smiling devotees standing around Shri Prem Nath. The telegram had been false. It was a ruse to get Shri Nathji to come to Calcutta. The devotees there had been waiting anxiously for him since months. Instead of being angry with the devotees, Shri Nathji acceded to their prayer and stayed on at Calcutta for some days. During this time numerous people came for his darshan and blessings.
