After the Bhutts had met Shri Nathji at Lahore and had become devoted to him, they visited Shri Nathji at his residence at Dehra Dun as well. It was at Dehra Dun in 1938, that Mrs. Chaube, the wife of the retired Deputy Collector, was given faith in Shri Nathji by Mrs. Gangabai Bhutt, and had later been raised from the dead by Shri Nathji.
Gangabai Bhutt’s brother, Shanker, had a faith in Shri Nathji that was almost as great as that of Gangabai, and he came along with her to Dehra Dun for Shri Nathji’s darshan.
Shanker looked at Shri Nathji’s delicate and exquisitely shaped hands at Dehra Dun, and said to himself:
Surely these soft and beautiful hands cannot hold any power!
As if in answer to his thoughts, Shri Nathji brought his hands down upon Shanker’s back.
Shanker suddenly appeared to go mad. He rent his clothes and ran out of the house. For three days his whereabouts remained unknown. When he returned later, Shri Nathji draped him in his own clothes, and gave him an extra share of his Love.
When you placed your hand upon my back, said Shanker to Shri Nathji, it was as if the weight of the Himalayas had fallen upon me!
Indeed Shri Nathji had two forms, the delicate and soft human personality and the Infinite Power within him.
