To go from a state of ignorance to a state of knowledge a man has to pass through various stages of life. He first sees God as separate from Him and he prays to God for His help and guidance, for relief from sorrow and suffering. He learns to thank God when in joy, and to pray to him when in sorrow, and to see His guiding hand working in all phases of his life.
As he progresses in the journey of life, passing through numerous trials and experiences, he begins to see the Will of God operating everywhere. The world then ceases to present a frightening picture–it becomes a picture of Bliss in which man perceives God present everywhere. The world in fact vanishes and man sees only God before him.
