Everything that Shri Nathji did was divinely inspired, whether it was a worldly task like the purchase of a house, or the children’s school records, or purchases from the market for Mateshwari.
While doing all this, his innate spirituality was producing an endless flow of spiritual truths that would guide humanity for ages to come. It was only he who was capable of doing both, of maintaining perfect spiritual equanimity even in the face of the worst provocations.
The manner in which he silently bore the outbursts of Prem Nath at the Dehra Dun house was a marvel to behold. Perhaps it was to give this valuable lesson to humanity that in equanimity lay the answers to all the problems of the world. It was an inner peace that came from within him and which affected those around him. Even the worst of his detractors were calmed in the end.
The following verses were found scribbled in a small black diary by Shri Nathji:
Kyaa kahoon aagaaze aalam kab huaa kyonkar huaa
Aaeene men akse rukh kaa saamna kyonkar huaa

Who can say when and how the world came into being –
And why the Creator’s image appeared before Him in this mirror?

Shamaa men jalkar kahaa parvaanaye jaan baaz ne
Uss se jo aakar milaa phir vo judaa kyonkar huaa

The moth gave up its life to the flame, and said, while burning,
“He who unites with Him can never be separated again!”
