It was said that Alexander had once met a Fakeer-a holy man in his life, for just a few minutes, and the holy man had said to him:
“Alexander, my blessings shall remain with you!”
Alexander had forgotten that one meeting with the Fakeer and had returned to his home. Years later, when Alexander lay dying, he discovered a strange thing. The world was fading away from his eyes, thoughts and mind. He could not remember the faces of even his closest friends and relatives.
But for some strange reason, the face of the holy man came before him and he heard his voice telling him that his blessings would remain with him.
Alexander said:
“I am going into the vast darkness of death before me with only the faint light of his blessings to guide me!”
“Main uss andhere men jaa rahaa hoon uske aasheervaad ki mand roshni ko lekar!”
