One of the first things Shri Nathji did upon his return to Mussoorie was to take the children to Hampton Court School. He, and Mateshwari, went along the Mall Road and down the winding hill road near Jhoola Ghar to Hampton Court, the children running alongside them.
There was the familiar scene of Shri Nathji and Mateshwari meeting the Mother Superior and facing her displeasure at the children coming late.
During Shri Nathji’s absence a bill had come from the School in which arrears of the school fees had been demanded, and a note written by the Mother Superior, with the ominous words: “I regret to say that if the bill is not paid immediately the children need not attend the school from the coming Monday.”
