Which was not to say that Shri Nathji ignored Mateshwari and the children. He would dutifully take them out to India Gate, to Connaught Place and to Ramchandran Toy Shop near Odean Cinema and to the films. Shri Nathji played his dual role to perfection.
Most of January 1949 had been spent at Delhi and now it was time for Shri Nathji to answer the prayers of other thirsty souls and go wherever he was needed the most.
Shri Nathji had always said:
“I am like the dry leaf which has no programme of its own. If you ask the dry leaf where it will be tomorrow, it will say: ‘Ask the wind!’ It is the sincere desire of the devotees that moves me from place to place, otherwise I have no desires within me.”

“Main sankalp rahit hoon.”
