There was a devotee of Shri Nathji, Dwarka Singh, who acted in haste and ignorance. He removed the portrait of Shri Nathji from his ‘Pooja’ room. When Shri Nathji heard of this, he smiled and said:
It is good that he has removed my portrait. It will have to be replaced by two portraits now!
And that was exactly what happened later. The man was chastened by the hand of Nature, and his pooja room later had two portraits inside – that of Shri Nathji and Savitri Devi!
Marrying Shakti
A mahatma came to Shri Babaji Maharaj and said:
Revered Maharaj! Our Nathji has given his consent to marriage in obedience to your wish. But I am worried that marriage might detract from his spiritual powers.
Shri Babaji Maharaj laughed:
How can the marriage lessen his spiritual powers when he is marrying Shakti herself!
Lala Hargopal Khanna had been an orthodox Arya Samaji for the greater part of his life. But he was so greatly attracted to Shri Nathji that he would say to Shri Babaji Maharaj:
A personality like that of Shri Nathji cannot be found in any corner of the world even if we search with the sun in hand.
“Shri Nathji jaisi hasti duniyaan men chiraag lekar bhee dhoondne se naheen mil sakti!”
