At Lucknow, one of the major events was the conversion of Chashme Vali Mata who was the Rani of Mandi State. She was an elderly woman whose husband had died, each of her five sons had also died, her granddaughter had also died. Her body was wracked by illness and disease and she considered herself to be the most miserable woman upon earth. She would say: “Go and burn my State for all I care! Each and every hair in my head is numbered with an infinity of sorrow!”
