In November 1984, the Urhekars, who had been living with Shri Nathji for over four years, disappear suddenly, causing Shri Nathji and Priya Nath to be deeply grieved and worried –for their sake. Indeed nothing worried Shri Nathji more than a devotee going astray. He knew of the consequences of such an act. It was tragic that they should have left of their own volition, when Shri Nathji had been on the verge of sending them himself. Indeed there was the sad verse of Shri Nathji:Kismat ki dekhiye tooti kahaan vo kamandThe rope of destiny broke at such a timeShri Nathji had also said at one point of time:“How tragic is the fate of that person who swims across the entire ocean, but sinks just as he is about to touch shore!”
