In December 1944, Shri Nathji went to Lahore along with Mateshwari and the children. It was there that the famous Radha Krishna photograph of Shri Nathji and Mateshwari in a sitting pose, was taken on the 23rd of December 1944. Another portrait, in a standing pose, was taken on the 21st of February 1945, which later adorned the homes of many. It was published in the Kalyan Magazine of the time and proclaimed to be one of the most beautiful portraits ever seen. Indeed people were looking upon Lord Krishna for the first time in the 20th century. The Radha Krishna costume was brought by Gangabai Bhutt from the Central Provinces.
