On the left hand side of Savitri Nivas was Sarila Lodge, the residence of Maharaja Mahipal Singh of Sarila. He had met Shri Nathji as a neighbour at the time that Shri Nathji had moved into Savitri Nivas in 1947 itself. Over the years, his faith in Shri Nathji had intensified to such an extent that he had changed from an agnostic to a believer. In the past he had often said: “God is a myth” but, after meeting Shri Nathji, he was a changed man. Whenever people would ask him: “Does Shri Nathji live next to you?” He would reply: “No, I live next to him!”
