Mr. A.M. Phiri, the High Commissioner of Zambia, who had been accompanying Shri Nathji on the stage to all the world prayer days held thus far, comes over to Shri Nathji’s house to say farewell. He is returning to Zambia at the end of his tenure in India. Even as he takes leave of Shri Nathji with tears in his eyes, he says to him:“I SEE IN YOU THE PERSONALITY OF OUR SAVIOUR. BEFORE I MET YOU MY LIFE WAS EMPTY. BUT YOU HAVE GIVEN A NEW MEANING TO MY LIFE! TAKE MY LIFE AND USE IT! YOU HAVE MADE THE WORLD BEAUTIFUL WITH YOUR PRAYERS!”And, then, before leaving, he sings the hymn he had always sung in every World Prayer Day as his homage to Shri Nathji:“Nearer to Thee, my Lord! Nearer to Thee!”His wife, Mrs. Phiri, is with him and goes down on her knees and bows before Shri Nathji. “It is a miracle. She is a patient of severe arthritis She felt no pain. She could never kneel like that before!”Shri Nathji goes to the gate of the house to leave Phiri and his wife.
