Shri Nathji was admitted to the All India Institute of Medical Sciences on October 10, 1981 for an operation. All the tests done at the Institute proved that he had cancer, beyond a shadow of a doubt. The operation itself was to be a great risk with little chances of survival.“RUBBISH! IT IS ALL RUBBISH! I DO NOT HAVE CANCER! IF I HAD CANCER WOULD I NOT BE WORRIED? I FEEL NO WORRY AT ALL!”On another occasion he added:“IT IS ALL HUMBUG! I DON’T HAVE ANY CANCER! ALL THE RESULTS OF MEDICAL SCIENCE ARE WRONG!”Shri Nathji also said:“MAUT MERE SAAMNE KAAMPTI HAI!“DEATH TREMBLES BEFORE ME!:“MAUT KAA MERE OOPAR ADHIKAAR NAHEEN HAI!“DEATH CAN HAVE NO CLAIM OVER ME!”Priya Nath was in a state of great distress and had resolved that he would leave the world if anything happened to Shri Nathji. Shri Nathji, who loved him most of all, could not bear to see his agony, and assured him that he was all right.
