There is a dreadful crisis in the rent case in which final arguments have to be written – and Priya Nath finds himself surrounded by volumes of papers. His advocate does not know all the facts of the litigation which has been going on from 1979, i.e. a period of 16 years, and Priya Nath sets about preparing the written arguments himself. The final arguments will determine whether they get to stay in the house or to leave it.
