Dr. Sudershan Nagpaul, the Head of the Department of Mathematics at St. Stephen’s College, Delhi, arrives, bringing with himself copies of books he had written on Mathematics and which had been published in America. He touches Shri Nathji’s feet and then sits silently in front of him in a chair placed there by Priya Nath. Since Dr. Nagpaul is his friend from the days of Harvard, Priya Nath wishes to see him sitting on the same level as himself.“What is the definition of the Shri Nathji continues:“What is the definition of the Infinite? That which resides everywhere and in everything, and before whom the entire universe is like a tiny mustard seed. And the Infinite in turn resides even within that tiny mustard seed, becoming even tinier than it!“Anant ki paribhaasha kayaa hai? Jis ke saamne saaraa brahmaand ik raayi ke daane ke samaan ho! Aur jo svaiyam uss raayi ke daane ke andar uss se bhi chhotaa bankar baitthaa ho!”“Is the knowledge contained in the Vedas limited or unlimited? Do the Vedas contain the complete knowledge of God? When Shri Nathji says:“Sarv dharmaan parityajya maam ekam sharanam vraj“Leaving aside all other paths, seek thou a refuge in Me”Shri Nathji adds:“A guru – a teacher – can be had in almost every discipline in the world, but a Perfect Master is very rarely found – one who has the cure for the restlessness of the heart, and leads one to God!”Dr. Nagpaul goes away deeply satiated on the spiritual plane. Shri Nathji loves him like a son. Whenever he comes before Shri Nathji, a divine flow of words goes out towards him. It is as if Shri Nathji has a very special relationship with him.
