Shri Nathji once related to Priya Nath, how, as a young man, he had gone out on a journey along with a devotee. Along the way, the devotee fell sick with fever and dysentery. He had no one but Shri Nathji with him. For the entire time that the man was ill and bedridden, Shri Nathji looked after him and even helped to clean him and to wash his clothes and utensils. It was only Shri Nathji, who, though being the greatest of the great, could step down from his pedestal to do the lowliest of tasks for the sake of humanity.
