The Talwar family visits Shri Nathji, and, even as Shri Nathji blesses them, Talwar’s grown-up daughter, Gauri, narrates how once she had been very ill:“I DON’T WANT TO FRIGHTEN YOU – I CAN LIVE FOR AS LONG AS YOU WANT ME TO, UPON EARTH – BUT THIS BIRTHDAY MUST BE TREATED AS IMPORTANT. WHO KNOWS WHAT MAY HAPPEN NEXT.” Priya Nath is deeply saddened at these words. He does not quarrel with Shri Nathji for using these words, but Shri Nathji senses his depression and re-assures him later that he will live for many years more. “All Time is now!Dr. Bhatia of the All India Institute of Medical Sciences comes to Shri Nathji’s house, examines him and says all is well, adding: “Touch wood.” He leaves after touching Shri Nathji’s feet and receiving his blessings.“Too hee batlaa duaae dil ko lekar ham kahaan jaayen“Only Thou canst tell us where we must take the prayers of our hearts–The ghazal is meant for the 23rd of June, and Priya Nath gives it a very touching, emotionally moving tune. However, it is not sung on that day when the occasion comes – as Shri Nathji was there to listen to the prayers of all, with acceptance!
