The month of February 1988 saw Shri Nathji in radiant health except for one dreadful attack of mental toxicity from the medicines – an attack that lasted for several hours and frightened Priya Nath no end. “Pataa naheen kyaa ho rahaa hai, jaise brain ne bilkul function karnaa chhorr diyaa ho! Saare sir men nashaa saa charrhaa huaa hai. Behadd bechaini ho rahi hai. Aisaa kharaab feeling hai jisse describe naheen kiyaa jaataa. Meraa khyaal hai inn goliyon ko chhorr denaa chahiye!“I do not know what is happening. It is as if the brain has stopped functioning. The head appears to be in a state of intoxication. There is a feeling of acute restlessness in the body. The feeling is so terrible that it is hard to describe! I think we must stop these tablets of Biduret.”Shri Nathji had often used the words above whenever these dreadful attacks of mental toxicity came, and the doctors had no explanation for them, some of them saying that it could be due to the expansion or constriction of the blood vessels inside the brain. Priya Nath was deathly scared that they might signal a stroke. Albeit Shri Nathji had borne these attacks with great forbearance.
