On the 20th of October 1989, a historical event occurs as Priya Nath gives Shri Nathji a bath for the first time in his life, scrubbing and soaping Shri Nathji’s body, as if Shri Nathji were a little child. “Pitaji is becoming more and more like a child and I have to be very, very, delicate with Him. He is becoming weaker and weaker, either due to age or the illness. O Lord, please help us! Please make him strong enough for Bhayya’s coming!” Soon, thereafter, Shri Nathji is seen eating a full meal, eating everything in his ‘thhaali’- even the curd,. He even walks an astonishing 50 rounds without any fatigue! It was his miracle, no less.“Piyaji, zaraa “Piyaji, telephone Jainsons and find out whether they have any warm pyjamas and woollen shirts.”Shri Nathji has this habit of making casual off-hand remarks, which both, he and Priya Nath, forget afterwards. “Jainson” is the only shop he knows of in Connaught Place, and whenever the winter sets in he recollects the shop, and almost never purchases anything from there! Priya Nath, too, is lax in phoning the shop–and there the matter ends.
