Indeed, Shri Nathji was to fulfil even the least of Priya Nath’s wishes. On September 3, 1992, just three days before he left the planet earth in his physical form, Shri Nathji had expressed a desire to record a ghazal on video tape, and he had begun singing without his dentures on, saying at the start of the ghazal, in a very child-like innocent voice: “Shuloo kaloon?That was the last time that Priya Nath was to hear that dear, dear voice singing, which made his eyes well up with tears.
