On August 1, 1990, Shri Nathji dictates a ghazal which He calls a “Masterpiece” referring to it as: “Hazaaron men ek! The ghazal begins with the words:“Kahaan tak dekhte jaaen jahaan tere binaa Saaki“For how long can we go on looking upon a world where Thou art not,Priya Nath records it and is deeply saddened by the words. It is as if he is singing it after Shri Nathji has gone from the world. He weeps even as he composes the tune. “Jahaane gham men phir dekhaa navaaye Nath aayi hai,“In this world of sorrow, the voice of Nath has come again,Indeed, this would be the state of the devotees of God after God had gone from amongst their midst. How they would rue the fact that they had wasted their lives in worldly pursuits even when the greatest treasure was with them in the form of the Lord. How they would look at the cruel unfamiliar faces of the world and not see the beauty of their Lord and Master in their midst. How their hearts would ache with the sorrows and sufferings of the world where no one would have the cure.“Khair too Saaki sahi magar pilaayegaa too kisseThou art the Saaki, but who willst thou give to drink? On the other hand, there, in the other world, were Mahamateshwari, Shri Babaji Bhagwan, Lala Hargopal, Sardar Basant Singh, Ganesh Prasad Bhutt, Gangabai Bhutt, Shakuntala, the Kasera Brothers, and indeed a host of other near and dear devotees of Shri Nathji, who were waiting for him to come to them.“Jo baadaakash thhe puraane vo utth te chale jaate hain“The Older Lovers are leaving one by oneWhen Priya Nath compared the devotees of old to the devotees who existed in the present, he felt that Shri Nathji was not really being kept back upon earth by anyone in particular.
