162 Ghazal notebooks of Shri Nathji, containing thousands of ghazals, are displayed in the big room for a while by Priya Nath. These also contain notebooks on treatises on Sufism, Persian Poetry, Prayer, and an unfinished Drama and Autobiography, all written by Shri Nathji over a period ranging from 1981 to 1991.Priya Nath says with concern:“Who will read and transcribe all these ghazals in the future? Who? An Urdu writer – Shri Nathji says:“Aapne parrnaa! “You are the only one who will be able to further them!”Shri Nathji records a beautiful video ghazal about His advent into the world. He sings it Himself. It is a brief, but very unusual video scene – God speaking and singing about His own advent upon earth.“Meri maifil men sunte hain navaaye saaz mastaana,“A new musical instrument is playing in the midst of my gathering here,Shri Nathji listens to his favourite ghazals of 1982 which were played before a learned professor of Urdu from Delhi University, Professor Arfi, who said that he had never heard such perfect Urdu poetry before in his life, and that Shri Nathji’s ‘Kaafiyaa’, rhyme in Urdu was a marvel in itself. “There is hardly any person in the world who knows as much Persian as you do! No Ph.D in the subject can come anywhere near your knowledge!” Shri Nathji had spoken to the professor and a friend of his from Hyderabad when they had come to visit him in 1982. His recorded speech in Urdu and Persian had astonished the two Muslim scholars beyond measure. “Ab bhee aisaa bolta hoon?“Do I still speak like this?”He was 80 years old at that time in 1982. He was now 89.“FICCI Hall “Perhaps I had spoken like that at FICCI Hall!”However, Shri Nathji was too modest.
