If he is thirsty, he rushes to the waters of the dreamland. “The thirst of the wakeful state cannot be quenched by the waters of your dreamland. You are asleep, but beset upon by thirst. You are dreaming that you are thirsty in the dream world. You drink from the streams and rivers of the dream world– but your thirst, which is of the wakeful state, remains unsatiated. “It is only when you wake up and drink the waters of the wakeful state that your thirst is finally satiated. “Similarly the thirst for everlasting happiness in the soul of man cannot be quenched by the material objects of the world – it is only when his inner eyes receive an awakening and he realises God, that he secures everlasting peace. “The thirst of the soul for a Spiritual world cannot be quenched in the material objects of this world.”
