Priya Nath speaks briefly to Shorey telling him of the mysterious workings of God’s Will, as illustrated by a parable of Shri Nathji:“A bird without wings sat on top of a mountain and prayed to God for water. God heard its prayers, and the waters of the oceans and rivers rose in a deluge – that wrought havoc – till they reached the bird. The bird but took a little water in its beak and its thirst was quenched. All that destruction to quench the thirst of a little bird! “‘Why? O Lord, why?’ the sages asked God.“‘You have no right to question my Will!’ came the voice of God!”“Truly the imperfect wisdom of man could not understand the perfect wisdom of God! And all man could say was: ‘Thy Will be Done.’”
