Shri Nathji puts a brown shawl across his shoulders and sips a little coffee after the evening tea, waiting for Dr. Saxena and his family. “Agar jyotish hi sab kuchh hoti to mere “If astrology were all that mattered of what significance would my Blessings be!”Shri Nathji adds:“Be-fikar ho jaaao bilkul! Faayedaa kyaa huaa meraa agar Fate ko na badal sakaa!“Be free of all fears! Of what use am I if I cannot even change destiny?”The fears of the Saxenas disappeared at this assurance from Shri Nathji – and, indeed, in the years that followed, nothing unwanted came Nikhil’s way.“O Lord! You listened to my prayers! A thousand thanks unto Thee!”Thereafter he worshipped Shri Nathji as Lord Rama till the time he left the world. Before he died, he had himself brought to the exact spot on the banks of the Triveni where he had met Shri Nathji. At that place – which was sacred land for him – he passed away in a blissful sleep carrying Shri Nathji’s image in his heart and soul.“Aapne to Sudama ke tandul bhee khaa liye thhe!“You had even eaten the Rice of Sudama!”She had been referring to Sudama, the boyhood friend of Lord Krishna, whose rice Lord Krishna had eaten.“Main aapko lok aur parlok ki chintaaon se“I am freeing you of the worries of this world and the next. My hand is upon your head!”Dr. Saxena was to experience this protecting hand of Shri Nathji over him in the years to come when he passed through severe crises that would have played havoc with his life.“Jab kabhi mushkil thhee aayi aur taale na tali“Whenever a difficulty arose that could not be resolved,“Meri mushkil men aate ho, mere mushkil kushaa tum ho,“Thou comest in all my troubles, Thou art the remover of all my sorrows,This was the role Shri Nathji was destined to play. When, R.R. Khanna,–the Registrar of the Lucknow University, who had been an atheist before he was converted in a single glance by Shri Nathji – was asked what was the secret of his devotion, he had replied:“Mujh par jab jab zindagi men koyi aisee mushkil parri jisko main apni taakat se na hataa sakaa, to maine Nathji ka Naam liyaa aur unkaa dhyaan kiya – meri mushkil jaati rahi! Aur mujhe kyaa chaahiye! Main sab ko ye“Whenever I was faced with any difficulty in life which I could not remove, I prayed to Shri Nathji and took His name – and my troubles disappeared. What more do I want! I would recommend this formula to everyone!”
