Shri Nathji sings another ghazal, which Priya Nath fails to record. Shri Nathji’s tooth trouble flares up again and the gum is reddened once more. A devotee had come to the house with a toothache – and instantly Shri Nathji took his pain upon Himself. This had happened so frequently that it had become an established fact. Priya Nath was afraid of sick and ailing visitors who came before Shri Nathji because he knew Shri Nathji would take their sufferings upon his own delicate body.“Barraa afsos hotaa hai, din nikal jaataa hai, phir raat nikalti hai, aur kuchh bhee naheen ham log kar paate. Iss tarah time ko zaayaa naheen karna chahiye. God ne itnee good health dee hai, usse zaayaa naheen karnaa chahiye – kuchh kaam ho jaaye to achhaa hai!“It is very sad that days and nights are passing us by, and we have not been able to accomplish anything. We must not waste time in this manner. God has given us such good health, and we must not waste it – if we can do something it will be worthwhile!”Shri Nathji has been writing ghazals by the hundreds, speaking loudly and powerfully on video films and tape recordings. He has not wasted even a single moment. Even during the severity of the heart attack and its aftermath he had been writing ghazals and meeting devotees.
