There was the surprise visit of Raja Dinesh Pratap Singh of Kasmanda, who was Shri Nathji’s next door neighbour at Mussoorie and whose devotion to Shri Nathji went back to the days of his father, Shri Diwakar Prakash Singh in the 1930’s. Shri Nathji was fond of narrating Raja Dinesh Pratap Singh’s devotion. “Raja kaa matlab rajaa huaa!”“Raja (a King) means, one who is contented!”Shri Nathji had always said that a real rich person was one who had contentment within him – it mattered little whether he had millions or not a penny.“A millionaire who has a crore of rupees, but desires two crores, is, in fact, a poor man. But a person who has only a hundred rupees and does not desire a single penny is, in fact, a rich person.”Shri Nathji spoke to the Kasmandas for about 15 minutes, at the end of which the book: ‘The Advent of the Avatar’ was presented to them, in which there was a reference to the Kasmanda family and their old association with Shri Nathji since the 1930’s. The reference to the Kasmanda family was on page 392 of the 800 page book.
