On the 6th of September 1993 Priya Nath observed what was in worldy terms the “death anniversary” of Shri Nathji. It was the most depressing function that he had ever attended. The function was observed in the lawn of the Delhi house, where a large number of devotees were gathered. Various people paid their homage to Shri Nathji and narrated how he had saved the world. There was Shri D.N. Sinha who paid his homage to Shri Nathji and then there was Major Genetal Baxi who said:“I am a soldier. I have killed people. I have a heart of stone. But the moment I used to come before Shri Nathji something used to happen to me–I would break down, and uncontrollable tears would flow from my eyes in streams. There will never be another Shri Nathji in this world again!”Priya Nath was greatly touched by his words, however he had kept on referring to Shri Nathji as “this man” and it hurt Priya Nath. A few days earlier the General had telephoned Priya Nath and said to him:“He used to call himself the Servant of the Earth, but you are referring to him as God, won’t that distress him?”Priya Nath was shocked at the man’s words. Baxi had read “The Advent of the Avatar” which had first brought him to Shri Nathji in 1987, and in the book it had been clearly said that Shri Nathji was God upon Earth. Baxi had also read “Payaame Muhabbat” in which R.R. Khanna had clearly written that Shri Nathji was “Sakshaat Bhagwan”. Priya Nath had wondered what had happened to the man. And when Priya Nath reminded him of the two books, the man had repented and instantly said: “I keep his portrait in my pooja room next to that of Guru Nanak and all the other gods.”“Zarre zaree ki zubaan par hai ‘Anal Haq’ ki sadaa“Every particle in the world cries out with the voice “ I am God”Shri Nathji had written in his books that God existed everywhere and in everything. There was not a single atom in the Universe in which God did not exist. However, He existed in a concealed form everywhere.
