There is once again Colonel Ajit Singh and his sister, who lives in Simla. For some reason all of Shri Nathji’s hidden radiance would burst out whenever Colonel Ajit Singh came before him. The man was a saint in his own right but revered Shri Nathji as God personified.Sar barhainaa nestum daaram kulaahe chaar tarkMy head is not uncovered, I wear a hat with corners fourShri Nathji explained the high philosophy contained in the above verse. When the seeker after truth renounced the world, he found salvation before him. When he gave up salvation, he found God before him. And when he gave up the notion of a God he had needed for his own personal self, he found himself filled with the pride of renunciation. And so in the final stage he gave up even the thought of renunciation.“Renounce the world, renounce thy spiritual learning,Here was the highest of philosophies being propounded by Shri Nathji as he had explained in detail in his book: “The Secret of Death”, where he had written:Aamad saihare nidaa za maikhaanaye maaEarly in the morning I heard a voice outside my tavern cry,It is the voice of the Master–Shri Nathji– calling out to man, that time is running short, and, before the cup of age of the Master is filled, he should fill the cup of his devotee with his wine of immortal life.
