An old friend of Priya Nath from Vincent Hill School, Mahabir Prasad Aggarwal, suddenly appears on the scene. He had been converted into a Christian–a Seventh Day Adventist, when at school in 1954, and found himself in a strange situation with all his family and friends being Hindus and he, himself, a Christian. He was the son of a wealthy industrialist in Calcutta, and had retained his friendship with Priya Nath for almost 30 years or more.
