It was also during these days that Shri Nathji had told the story of the Ruby sellers to the home group and Shri M.L.Pasricha. “Sai bajaare aaye neen, sai bajaare aaye!”This was the voice of a young girl who said excitedly to her mother that some traders had come into their town. She sought permission from her mother to go and find out what they were selling. “They are very cheap! The price is your head!” Said Shri Nathji, concluding the short story in beautiful Punjabi:“So it is with lovers of God. Those who would desire God must pay the price–and the price is their head, their ego, which must be delivered up to God before God can become theirs. The Ruby, God, is still too cheap!” The story was also printed in his famous book: “The Rays of Light”.
