Shri Nathji is a trifle annoyed at truant devotees from amongst the Tandons and Kapahis who absent themselves on the slightest pretext, as also those who wish to leave. He says at one point:“Jis dukaan se kuchh lenaa naheen vahaan jaane kaa kyaa faayedaa?“Of what use going to a shop where you want nothing?”Shri Nathji tells the interesting parable of a saint who tells his companions to give their last drop of water to a dying dog in the desert, in return for which he will give them the fruit of his ninety pilgrimages.
