Shri Priya Nath records Shri Nathji’s famous verse about a bird in a cage–a bird which was entrapped by the hunter but suddenly found bliss in its imprisonment, so that it began to sing:“Jee kafas men lag gayaa apnaa chaman se bhee sivaa“I have become blissful in the cage, away from the garden,This was the verse that Shri Nathji had recited before the famed philosopher, Shri Dewan Chand, who had met him at Mussoorie in the 1930’s and had said to Shri Nathji:
