Shri Nathji had vowed to stop writing further ghazals after his 30th Note Book, but all of a sudden he begins humming a new ghazal and begins writing it in whatever space he could find in the 30th Note Book itself, saying:“Nashaa saa ho jaataa hai! Aadat parr gayee hai!”“An intoxication fills me! It has become a habit.”Shri Nathji was filled with Divine Intoxication all the time.Cheh pursi zaahidaa vakte sharaabam,O intellectual! Why askest thou me the time of my intoxicationYes, Shri Nathji, the Creator of the Universe, was filled with an Intoxication Divine since eternity, even before the beginning of time. Perhaps it was in that state of intoxication that He had created the Universe. It was an intoxication that was to remain with Him forever.
