On the 30th of January 1986, Shri Nathji writes a ghazal, which Priya Nath puts to music and sings with a heavy heart:“Ghazal gaayenge duniyaan men sharaabe jaam ko lekar“I shall sing ghazals in this world keeping the Cup of Thy wine with me,There is the moving verse in the ghazal which Priya Nath feels is the voice of Shri Nathji bidding goodbye to the world. Tears come into his eyes as he sings:“Zameen ko jab bhee chhorrenge munnavar auj ki khaatir“Whenever I leave the earth for the heights of Glory above,And indeed that was the silent manner in which Shri Nathji ultimately left the planet earth on the 6th of September 1992, riding high on the Ray of Divine Light that came from the Heavens. In this ghazal he had been predicting the manner of his departure from the world.
