Shri Nathji’s little book, “The Rays of Light” was to change the hearts of many. It reached Count Alexander Hoyos in Austria. Here too, was a purely spiritual relationship that established itself through correspondence.
Shri Nathji’s letter to Count Alexander Hoyos was printed in a booklet entitled: “The Inspired Epistle”. Thirsty souls, wherever they were, in whichever part of the world, were to know of Shri Nathji. Where he could not go himself, he went out in the form of his books and letters.
Given below is a letter sent by Count Alexander Hoyos from Austria to Shri Nathji, after the Count had read Shri Nathji’s book “Rays of Light”.
    Austria
    July 23, 1937
    Your Holiness,
Mr. Ramgopal Mehra gave me your beautiful book, Rays of Light, during his recent stay in Austria. I read The Rays of Light with very great interest and pleasure, and after a few weeks, reached a state of happiness and inward joy, which you described in Rays of Light. A new world of peace, content and happiness was opened to me.
Though I have read some books by Indian saints and philosophers such as Ramakrishna, Vivekanand and others, I cannot say they have played a role in my life. I am a Protestant, and in no way dogmatic. I have always tried to find inner peace and bliss, and would gladly accept any suggestion you may make to me. After reading the Rays of Light, I firmly believe that you can help me on the way to inner purification.
Please forgive me for having troubled your spiritual meditations by this letter, and believe me in deepest respect,
    Your Holiness’ Obedient Servant,
    Count Alexander Hoyos
When Shri Nathji was at Dehra Dun in 1937 he wrote a beautiful letter to Count Alexander Hoyos from there. This letter was later printed in the booklet, “The Inspired Epistle”. The letter contained Shri Nathji’s message of Divine Love.
This beautiful writing is reproduced below. The foreword is by a devotee of Shri Nathji, Shri Kasinath Saikia, who had the booklet printed in Shillong, where he had first had the darshan and blessings of Shri Nathji.
As his letter shows, Kasinath Saikia had become so devoted to Shri Nathji that there was a time when he could find peace and bliss only when he was close to Shri Nathji. It was to give his darshan to the seeking soul of Kasinath Saikia that Shri Nathji had gone to Shillong.
