A certain Mrs. Dube at Allahabad worshipped Shri Nathji as God. When the festival of Holi came at Allahabad in March 1942, the devotees of Shri Nathji gathered around him and received a sprinkling of coloured water from him.
Mrs. Dube came to Shri Nathji and said: This colour which you have sprinkled on my clothes will live with me all my life. But I am afraid that, after my death, my children may throw the clothes away and thus obliterate this divine coloration.
Shri Nathji consoled her:
Mataji, after you have gone, the colour from these clothes, too shall be gone. It will have entered your heart!
The grandson of Mrs. Dube came running to Shri Nathji and said:
Nathji! Nathji! Where are the four arms you are supposed to have, as Vishnu Bhagwan?
Shri Nathji laughed and said:
Look – add the two arms that you have, with the two I possess, and we will have four arms in all!
“Do mere, do aapke – chaar haathh hee to ho gaye!”
