In the above ghazal the most touching verse for Priya Nath was the one below:Aayen hain iss jahaan men kab jaayen bekhabar hain,We have come into this world, and we know not when we may leave, It was a ghazal that Priya Nath was never to forget, even years after Shri Nathji had left the world. Aayen hain iss jahaan men kab jaayen bekhabar hain,Do din kaa hai basera ye aashiyaan hamaaraaPriya Nath would ever afterwards recall the figure of Shri Nathji reclining on his bed, his ghazal book on his upraised knee, singing this verse in a sad voice. It appeared to carry the eternity of sorrow of man. But for Priya Nath it was as if Shri Nathji were singing the verse for his own self, bidding goodbye to the world.“Shamaa kaa jal ke bujhnaa hai raaz zindagi kaa The lighting and burning out of the Flame reveals the secret of life,Later, Priya Nath played the ghazal with a heavy heart on the World Prayer Day on the 23rd of June 1985 on his piano, even as Shri Nathji listened to it in blissful silence, raising his hands in the air in a gesture of blessing Priya Nath. It was like a farewell.
