At Lucknow, Shri Nathji began the treatment of a certain Dr. Bhatia, F.R.C.S., who advised an operation. Mateshwari and the children came down to Lucknow and the operation was finally done in January 1943. The doctor made a terrible mistake and the operation was a dismal failure. The poison was spreading to the entire body. Shri Nathji’s life was in danger. The doctor advised amputation of the arm.
