At almost the same time, Shri Nathji lost his sight practically in both eyes from cataract. Priya Nath began searching for eye surgeons in Delhi but was very disappointed with the doctors he met. He had not forgotten how Dr. S. Radhakrishnan, the former President of India, had lost his sight in one eye after an abortive operation in India at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences. He was terribly afraid for Shri Nathji’s eyes and what the eye surgeons might do to them.
