The partition of India in August 1947 had wrought havoc in the lives of many who lived in the Punjab. There was Shri Ram Saran Das of Rawalpindi, who had intense faith in Shri Nathji. When the partition riots were at their worst, he sent his family out of Rawalapindi in a train that was to take them to Amritsar. However, dreadful news came, that everyone in the train had been slaughtered along the way. Ram Saran Das was shocked beyond measure and prayed to Shri Nathji. While he was trying to escape from Rawalpindi, and the shopkeepers there were being killed by the rioters, a Pathan came to his place, and, instead of killing him, offered him 60,000 rupees for his shop! It was a miracle of Shri Nathji.
