August 5, 1987 passes on a somber note. It was the day on which Mahamateshwari had left the world 20 years ago in London. It was referred to as her “Prabhu mere sharan teri main aayaa.O Lord, I have taken refuge in Thee!It is a tape recording made from a Gramophone record of 1951 which was recorded at Bombay. The song is followed by Shri Nathji’s commentary on the meaning of the prayer. The song and commentary are played twice. “Jeeyo jug jug pyaaare Prabhuji“May you live for ages, O Dear Prabhuji!”And:“Mussoorie ke Bhole teraa pyaara pyaaara naam“O Bhole of Mussoorie, dear, dear, is Thy name.”As also Kasatoorilal’s Bhajan:“Ai Nathji tumhaare dar kaa hoon main bhikaari“O Nathji, I stand as a beggar before Thy door”And Mrs. Gangabai Bhutt’s favourite:“Nath teraa bharaa rahe darbaar“O Nath may THY Divine Court ever remain full”
