The terrible pain in Shri Nathji’s back which had come insidiously on the morning of February 22, 1988, disappeared all by itself by the time the function was over. “Pain aisee gaayab huyee!“The pain just vanished by itself”It was apparent that Shri Nathji had been speaking to the devotees at the function while still in pain.“Shaad baashe ishqe khush saaudaaye maa“O My Love Divine, may thou ever remain happy,There had been occasions in the past when he had spoken while in high fever as well as stomach discomfort, and always the ailment had disappeared when he had finished speaking. Shri Nathji would also define this in the words of the Sikh Scriptures:Sarv rog kaa aukhad NaamThe name of God is the panacea for all illsShri Nathji falls asleep in his heavy, light blue sweater and a yellow kerchief on his head. Priya Nath continues to watch over him as he is not fully sure that the pain has gone.
