Disciples of the famous mahatma of Punjab, the late Swami Nirmal, come for Shri Nathji’s darshan and narrate how great a faith their guru used to have in Shri Nathji. Swami Nirmal had practically memorized the classic book ““Saakiyaa ham ko jahaan men ab too aisaa jaam de, O Saki, give us Thou, in this world, such a cup,Torr kar ghaflat ke daamon ko banaa aazaad ab,Break Thou the bonds of ignorance and set us free, Har gadaa ko iss jahaan men too banaade baadshaah,Make Thou every beggar in this world into a King,Swami Nirmal used to send a humble offering of Rs. 101/- on Gurupoornima Day- the day of the Guru- to Shri Nathji in the 1950’s and ask him to come to Amritsar in the Punjab, saying: “It is only you who can reach out to the intellectuals and enlighten them! It is beyond our ken.”Shri Nathji would send a long message filled with his blessings and love, but was always unable to go.“DEATH HAS NO POWER OVER ME, I AM ILL BECAUSE I WISH TO FEEL THE MISERY OF THE WORLD!”
