On the 22nd of March 1989 it is Holi–the festival of colours, and Shri Nathji has written a beautiful Holi ghazal, which resonates in the house again and again as Priya Nath plays it and records it on tape. Shri Nathji claps his hands with joy and listens to the words:Saaghar Hai Meraa ChhalkaaSaaghar hai meraa chhalkaa, duniyaan ka rang badlaa,My cup of wine has over-flowed, and filled the world with colours anew,Raihnaa jahaan men kab hai aapas men khel khelenWhen no one has to stay in the world, then why not play amongst ourselves,Har benishaan ho rangeen har ek shaane jaan hoLet every invisible form be coloured, everyone be filled with the Glory of Life,Ashke nihaan ye kyon hai, aansoo hain kiss liyeWhy this hidden teardrop, why these tears that flow,Ye vakt hai mukkadas dikhlaa rahaa hai HoliThis time is full of purity, it shows us Holi,Kiss ne hai kheli Holi saare jahaan ke andarWho has played Holi with the world entire?Ye ‘Nath’ ki navaa hai laayi dilon men HoliThis is the voice of ‘Nath’ which brings Holi within the heartsIt was one of the “best” tunes composed by Priya Nath, yet. It was a ghazal that only the Creator could have envisioned. The ghazal showed once again that Shri Nathji was the Lord of the Universe who had filled the world with a multitude of colours.Saakiyaa hamko jahaan men ab too aisaa jaam de,O Divine Saki, give us such a cup today,Torrkar gaflat ke daamon ko banaa aazaad ab,Break thou the bonds of ignorance and set us free,And the last powerful verse that revealed the magnanimity and generosity of Shri Nathji:Har gadaa ko iss jahaan men too banaa de baadshaah,Make thou every beggar in this world into a King,
