Although Shri Nathji had written several books and had spoken to people for hours on end, all his life–yet there were no “teachings” in the sense that gurus would teach. “Aap manzil pe baitthe hain, sirf usskaa anubhav honaa hai!“You are sitting at your goal–you have merely to become aware of it!”Their prostration before him was the beginning and end of all of spirituality.“Saari adhyaatmiktaa kaa saar hai–ek pranaam aur ek aasheervaad!“The essence of all spirituality is – one prostration and one blessing!”There was the one verse of the Geeta, which Shri Nathji would frequently quote:“Sarv dharmaan parityajya maam ekam sharanam vraj“Leaving aside all other paths, seek thou a refuge in Me!”Yet, in the end, it was only Shri Nathji’s divine grace that could grant the darshan of his Real Self to people who were worthy of it. “It is not enough to have found God, “ Shri Nathji would say, “Arjuna and Duryodhana both found Lord Krishna–but Arjuna recognized Him and became His devotee, whilst Duryodhana thought of him merely as an enemy. Hanuman became devoted to Rama, but Ravana saw Him as an enemy!”Shri Babaji Bhagwan had even gone so far as to say:“There are some kinds of people in the world who will not change even if God were to appear before them in the fulness of His Glory as Brahma, Vishnu and Mahesh!”Priya Nath had begun to understand the truth of what Shri Babaji had meant. He had seen people genuinely believe in Shri Nathji as God and yet not change their habits at all, –he had seen devotees run after the things of the world, forsaking God.
