Shri Nathji and Priya Nath listen to old ghazals, to select some for the World Prayer Day. In particular, they enjoy and select:“Jee kafas men lag gayaa apnaa chaman se bhee sivaa,The cage has so entranced my heart,There is a beautiful verse in this ghazal, which makes Shri Nathji say, “Wah! Wah!” again and again:“Jab meri aankhon ne dekhaa jalvaa-haa kaa rang hai,“When mine eye have seen the Glory of thy Light,Shri Nathji had, years ago, in the 1930’s composed and recited the verse: “Yes, I, too, am like a bird in a cage but:‘Jee kafas men lag gaya apnaa chaman se bhee sivaa,‘I have found contentment within the cage, far from the gardenShri Nathji had always said:“MAIN MUKT HOON, “I AM EVER IN SALVATION AND HAVE ALWAYS BEEN SO!”He used to say:“Mere arfaan ka takaaza hai ke main aazaad hoon,“The Strength of my Realisation tells me that I am ever free, Anyone who had ever seen Shri Nathji in his life could never imagine anyone or anything more beautiful than him. That was the meaning of the second verse:“Jab meri aankhon ne dekhaa jalvaa-haa kaa rang hai,“When my eyes have seen the Glory of thy Light,Priya Nath and Shri Nathji finally select the ghazals Priya Nath is to sing on the World Prayer Day.
