O Lord, a countless thanks to THEE, O Dear Lord! Pitaji is writing his 187th ghazal notebook which He began at 6:50 am. Pitaji had brought the book out from the pile on the big table, all by Himself earlier in the morning. I wrote down the date and time on it, and He began writing the book – and is doing so now. “Piyaji itneeWe slept for a long time for 5 hours after the noon meal taken in the big room. Pitaji awakened me at 7:30 pm and we had tea thereafter. He was worried when I began to fall asleep again and called out to me, leading me to be cross again like a foolish child, being vexed with his doting, loving Father.“Main seedhaa kar doonga usse agar “I will straighten him out if he becomes rude with you!”Shri Nathji had always said that He could not tolerate anyone being rude with Priya Nath, and that if Priya Nath were displeased with anyone, He, Shri Nathji, would never be pleased with that person:“Priya Nath on his part continues to worry about Shri Nathji’s health, now that the strange urine output has also been added to the problems, telling himself:“As if everything was adding up to some sinister development in the body.”O Lord, we had a good dinner in the bedroom and Pitaji ate well. Promptly, thereafter, I began reading Medical Books while Pitaji slept for a while and wrote “Ho sakta hai koyi vaar kar rahaa ho!I suspected that perhaps the mischievous elements at Dehra Dun were trying to use black magic, tantric spells, to cast illnesses upon Shri Nathji from a distance.“Ham to bilkul khatam ho jaaenge!”Pitaji was quite affected by this and said:“Beemaariyaan hain kaun see“What illnesses are there? We must fight them all!”Pitaji was feeling very cold in His hands and I gave Him a warm glove on his right hand. He is in His green sweater and is trying to sleep. He had just got up to adjust His bedsheet over Himself and is talking about ‘Lomac’: “Pataa naheen kahaan se peechhe parr gayi ye goli. Usne bataayi thhee“I wonder why we are stuck with Lomac! Coloner Mathur had told us about it!”We feel this tablet may have been responsible for the rise in Eosinophilia in the blood.Pitaji just said:“So jaate, Piyaji! Bhook to lagi hai magar iss vakt lenaa naheen hai.“Go to sleep, Piyaji. There is a feeling of hunger, but I won’t take anything just now.”I am stopping the dairy for the moment to see what we can do about food.“My God! My God! Why hast Thou forsaken me?”Pitaji just belched after taking His tea at 5:20 am. He also said a few minutes ago:“Uss vakt jab chitthee aayi thhee“When that letter had come about Dehra Dun we should have done something.”Pitaji was referring to the anonymous letter we had received in 1973 which warned us to keep a vigil over the Dehra Dun house lest it be usurped by the unholy persons living there.
